TRB Inspects NLEX
 

The Toll Regulatory Board inspected the North Luzon Expressway. TRB Executive Director Edmund Reyes said the inspection was part of the agency's effot in ensuring that traffic laws are follwed in expressways like NLEX.

Another Gateway to the North

The North Luzon Expressway has opened the Balagtas Interchange (Plaridel Bypass) an alternative gateway to the North.

 

This new road will make travel easier not only to those going to Plaridel, Pulilan, Guiguinto and Balagtas in Bulacan but also to motorists headed to Isabela, Cagayan, Quirino, Nueva Ecija and other nearby provinces. Since it provides an alternative route to northbound motorists it is expected to decongest traffic at the Sta. Rita Exit in Guiguinto.

 

The 24.61 kilometer bypass road begins at Burol in Balagtas, Bulacan and stretches all the way to San Rafael, Bulacan. Its construction is divided into two phases. The first one covering Balagtas to Bustos has already been completed. This reduces travel time from Balagtas to Plaridel by 20 minutes. Meanwhile the second phase will cover Bustos to San Rafael, Bulacan. Its construction is expected to finish in February 2013.
