To lower your electricity bill, you have to reduce your energy consumption. Here are some tips on how to lessen our energy consumption; LIGHTINGS (It contributes 20% to 30% to our total energy consumption.) - If do we have a habit of turning on the lights and letting it open 24/7 even you’re not using it, you will see below how much money it will cost you. Example: Let’s say we have 1 - 12Watt (CFL), Operating 24hrs. per day and Energy (1kilowatt-hour) cost is P10.00. Energy consumption calculation The energy E in kilowatt-hours (kWh) per day is equal to the power P in watts (W) times number of usage hours per day t divided by 1000 watts per kilowatt: E = P x t / (1000W/1KW) E = (12W x 24hrs/day) / (1000W/1KW) E = 0.288KWh/day
